Cadastral mapping is mapping based on property ownership. It consists of a visual display of the legal descriptions of properties within an incorporated body - town, city, etc. As is evident on the Xerox copy, all lot line descriptions, lot numbers and plan numbers are stored on the drawing. Other information such as tax roll number, street address, ownership, school support, etc., can be attached to the drawing as attributes. The purpose of this exercise is to familiiarize one with the SQL Select tools and syntax which are inline with MapInfo. The SQL language can query large, multiple datasets to achieve the client's request.
