1. Introduction and Status

This report describes the status and activities undertaken by the GEOHome project team under

project 360-1, "Design, Develop, Test and Delivery of GEOHome system v1.0", during the

reporting period indicated above, and forecasts future activities and problems.

2. Progress
2.1 Progress this Period

The following progress has been made over this time period:

Avenue Development

Developed query tools, bitmap selection methods
Developed search mechanisms
Wrote data extraction / export methods to common applications and data formats
Started development of network and grid development for distance algorithms
Some MapObjects testing started, prototyping with VB and VC++ IDEs

2.2 Forecast for Final Assessment (18 April 2000)

During the next reporting period the primary tasks are:

Completion of Avenue network and grid development
MapObjects research and development completed
Platform / environment / enterprise integration investigated
Project delivery (See item 4)

2.3 Schedule

2.4 Issues

Development of network and grid analysis has been slower than anticipated due to lack of information and familiarity, hindering technology transfer. This may slow down the MapObjects implementation. The project will still aim at satisfying all milestones, and will document any workarounds and final issues in the final delivery.

The following represents progress against the milestones specified in the GEOHome Project Outline and Schedule (360-1, Revision 0, 25 January 2000).
